As a big fan of cream cheese salmon fillets I recently tried something new and discovered the quickest, easiest and yummiest recipe yet – a meal that takes all of 5 minutes to make but still tastes (and looks!) impressive.
All you need is:
- Some salmon fillets
- Some cream cheese
- Some lemon
- Some aluminium foil
1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C. Cut the salmon fillets into strips (if they’re not already pre-cut) and smother them with cream cheese.
It can be a little tricky as the cream cheese doesn’t stick that well to the salmon, so just scoop a heap on to each one and then try to rub it out until the whole salmon is covered.
2. Slice the lemon and remove the pips, then place the lemon slices on top of the cream cheese covered salmon fillets.
3. Add a little salt and pepper…
4. Cover with foil and place in the oven for around 10 – 15 minutes, until the salmon is cooked through and nice and flakey. Serve with salad, new potatoes, or wilted buttery leeks!
