Bathroom porn: the most stunning bathroom wallpapers and where to find them

Lift your bathroom with a fresh and unfailingly cheerful wallpaper.

It’s time to step out of your comfort zone and consider one of these fun and fabulous wallpapers. From palm patterned to metallic geometrics and from koi fish to bumble bees, bold wallpapers are ideal for small bathrooms, loos or powder rooms.

Unlike a larger space like a hallway, living room, kitchen or bedroom, a small bathroom is the perfect space to dip your toes in the water and go a bit wild as it’s separate from the rest of your home, plus you’ll be able to pick a vibrant or more expensive wallpaper as you won’t need much of it.

Still not feeling brave enough? Consider only wallpapering the top half of the walls and using painted pannelling in a matching or complimenting colour on the bottom half.

If you’re still not convinced, browse the below bathrooms for some inspiration and scroll to the bottom to find a few fun finds from high street to designer. Whether your style is traditional, a bit bohemian, decidedly modern, or somewhere in between, there’s a bold wallpaper out there for you.

Coastal wallpaper

These uplifting and bright wallpaper would be ideal for a coastal inspired bathroom.

For a dressed down look, combine the below wallpapers with sanded down rustic wooden floors.

Botanical

For a fresh look, stick to a white and green colour scheme. If you’re not feeling confident with wallpapering a bathroom, a simple botanical pattern is a great safe option as it will bring in the freshness of the outdoors.

Patterned

Look for large-scale patterns or bright colors that make an impact. Kelly Weartler’s ‘Channels’ pattern would suit a large, modern monochrome bathroom, or Harlequin’s gold Sumi wallpaper would create a more glamorous look. Farrow and Ball’s gold bumble bee wallpaper is my personal favourite!

Floral

For a more traditional approach, pick a fabulous floral wallpaper and try to incorporate those colours in with the rest of the bathroom to tie the look together.

Adding a touch of pattern on the walls really lifts the room. For a more dramatic and daring look, indulge in a darker wallpaper and offset against white skirting boards and door frames.

Calm

A traditional calm and neutral bathroom can also be very elegant and utterly serene when done well. The look is not only fresh, but it’s light and bright as well. If you’re going to stick to creams and whites, go all out – stick to minimal accessories, keep the bathroom clear and uncluttered, and keep everything white, including towels and window treatments.

A roll top bath, some marble tiles and a chandelier can make all the difference between boring and glamorous.

Jungle fever
Introduce the tropics with the below fun palm prints. Keep the rest of the bathroom crisp and white with a few green accents, or complement the green with blush pink tones for a more retro look.
Blue and white

For a calming and serene bathroom, a fish theme works really well. Pair with plenty of natural materials such as straw or wicker baskets (to use as a bin, towel storage or for laundry), stripped wooden floors, and either some potted plants or flowers (go for faux succulents or convincing faux flowers for a mess-free bathroom).

If you’re feeling timid, blue and white is a foolproof palette for a large-scale wallpaper pattern, as it is as traditional as they come yet provides a lot of contrast. For maximum impact, continue telling the blue-and-white story down to the smallest details, including porcelain dishes and vases, embroidered towels, and shower curtains.

Animal Kingdom
For something a bit quirkier, you could go for a fun animal illustrated print.
