Spicy bloody mary prawn & avocado cocktail starter

Spruce up a plain prawn cocktail with a Bloody Mary twist! Bloody Marys are one of my all-time favourite cocktails, and this is basically the cocktail in food form. What’s not to love?

You will need:

  • 2 avocados
  • 1 packet of cooked, peeled prawns
  • Mayonnaise
  • Ketchup
  • Tabasco
  • Worcester sauce
  • Vodka
  • 1/2 lemon
  • Salt & pepper

Method:

1. In a mixing bowl, add about 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise with 3 tablespoons of ketchup, along with a dash of Worcester sauce, a dash of vodka, a squeeze of lemon juice and a few drops of Tabasco (or more if you like it hot), and season with salt and pepper.

2. Pour in the prawns and mix them in with the sauce so they are all coated.

3. Halve the avocados, peel them and remove the stones, to create four little ‘boats’, then fill the holes with prawns, season with some more salt & pepper, and serve with a lemon wedge.
