How you can get the interior designed look for less

When it comes to designing (or re-designing) your own space, it can be hard to see past the clutter and existing colours and layout to visualise something completely different. That’s when an interior designer is invaluable, offering expert opinion, vision and recommendations that breathe new life into old spaces. But for most of us, interior designers have the reputation of being expensive and a luxury that we can’t afford. If only interior designers were more affordable and accessible to everyone! I hear you. Enter Homewings – offering professional interior design for just £149 per room. Yes, really. And that price includes a style board (similar to what I put together above and below, but better because they’re professionals) and tailored furniture recommendations / shopping list that suit your style, room and budget.

Homewings is like the Zara Home, John Lewis or West Elm of the interior design world; stylish, yet affordable. They cater to the every day person, their motto being ‘beautiful interior design – for everyone’. They work with hundreds of vetted interior designers, matching them up to customers based on style and budget, and support both the interior designers and the customers throughout the interior design process. The beauty of it is that most of the work can be done remote – just send pictures of the room(s) you want to change, along with some inspiration of what you like, then your interior designer gets to work and sends you pictures of the re-imagined room, along with product recommendations tailored to your budget. And as they don’t take any commissions from what you buy, their advice is impartial and unbiased, and they try to work with what you’ve already got as much as they can.

So it’s win-win: the interior designers get more exposure, more work, and build their portfolio, plus get to network and take advantage of the courses that Homewings offer to them, whilst the customers get an interior designer’s advice, vision and recommendations. Genius!
