How to style gold cutlery (and where to find it!)

Gold is the new neutral; far from being ‘bling’ or flashy, instead it elevates minimalist and skandi styles as well as rustic and bohemian schemes, and even looks elegant when paired with bright colours, or plain white.

Unsurprisingly, I’ve fallen head over heels for gold cutlery as it can look both elegant and playful. And although black and gold is a popular colour combination, a colourful table setting like mine below is so much more uplifting – especially on these cold and wet autumnal days!

So, bored of my chipped, stained and rusty cutlery, I treated myself to this lovely gold set from ProCook:

It’s the perfect finish for my dinnerware and table linen at home!

Of course there are a million ways to style it (scroll down for some inspiration) but this is one of the quickest and easiest ways:

Step 1. Find a large plate as your base. A plate with a gold rim / edge will help tie the look together.

Step 2. Wrap a folded napkin around the plate, tucking the ends under the plate.

Step 3. Add the soup or dinner plate – choose one that has a pretty edge that will contrast against the appetiser plate.

Step 4. Add the appetiser plate on top. Simple, but effective!
