With summer finally in sight (yippee!), it’s time to shake off those winter cobwebs and head outdoors to soak up the sun. Longer days and warm evenings will have everyone queueing up to host their barbecues, picnics and alfresco dinner parties. It’s the perfect time to revive your outdoor space – and secure your summer drinks party in the diary!
I’ve been receiving so many press releases about awesome new outdoors stuff (that outdoor pizza oven is definitely on my hit list), and equally a lot of people asking for a roundup of lovely stuff for their patio, balcony, roof terrace and garden – so here it is! A roundup of some of my favourite outdoor furniture and accessories from the inter-webs.
Easier than dead-heading (if you haven’t already) the hydrangeas or clipping the roses, adding some new patio furniture and creating a welcoming space for entertaining will instantly revive and refresh your outdoor space. Whether you love a coastal, tropical, Hamptons, boho, designer or modern minimalist vibe, there’s something to suit every taste. Can’t find what you’re looking for? Some sumptuous new furniture will lure you outside to soak up some sun with an alfresco lunch or a book, the outdoor cushions are not only for comfort but also add pops of colour and help set the theme (and they’re weatherproof!), and an outdoor rug will help to tie an area together and encourage you to kick those shoes of! Welcome in the wildlife with a hedgehog house, bee hive or bird feeder. Some festoon lighting, a drink dispenser, a fire pit or even a pizza oven are the perfect final touches for any entertaining space. Just add a BBQ and a few beers, and keep your fingers crossed for sunshine!
